Summer 2024 - Renaissance Fencing Club offers Elite Foil camps, fun Summer Camps for kids ages 7 – 12, a session dedicated to younger kids (5-7 years) and a session just for teens (ages 13 - 17)!

Elite Camps
Elite foilists we will have two weeks of Pre Nationals Camps and two weeks of Pre Season camps. You do not need to be fencing at Summer Nationals to join the pre nationals camps. All elite campers should have full fencing equipment. These camps are open to fencers outside Renaissance Fencing Club but there are limited spots available. Click the links below to sign up! Camps are 12:30 - 6:30 Monday through Friday and include pizza and fruit. Camps are $500 per week or $950 for two weeks. Discounted for Renaissance Fencers in a class

Introductory Camps - no experience needed!
​
Curious about fencing? Our Introductory Fencing Camps teach the basics of the Olympic sport of fencing for your 7 to 12 year old. Fencing engages both mind and body and teaches problem solving while improving reflexes and agility. Fencing does not require a specific body type - fencers develop different styles based on their individual size and strength. Fencing requires respect; fencers salute at the end of the match regardless of outcome, win or lose. RFC provides an open fun environment for kids to learn fencing. Participants will learn footwork, play fencing related games, learn the basics of blade work and technique. Every camp features a mini fencing competition on the last day – parents are welcome to attend!

Our coaches are all full time professionals - we do not use students to run our camps. Our coaches all have experience teaching and competing at a national and international level. They are all coach/professional members of USA Fencing and they are all Safesport certified.
Camps are half day from 9am – 12 noon for boys and girls ages 7 - 12. We try to group fencers with others in their age group so please let us know if your camp week(s) are flexible.

We're excited to offer two dedicated weeks of camp for the youngest students - ages 5 to 7 from July 15th to 19th. We are also hosting two weeks of teen summer camps from August 7th to 11th in addition to youth camps the same weeks. The teen camp is for boys and girls ages 13-17. It is open to teens who have never fenced, and is also a great way for beginning teen students to refresh their fencing skills during the summer to be ready for the fall.

Fencers must wear sports clothing and sneakers. Please no crocs, sandals or jeans – all clothing should be flexible.
Use of all needed protective equipment is included.

Please note that if there is low enrollment for a session we will contact you to determine if you can switch to another session or book a private introductory package with our coaches.

Cancellations/Changes: there are no refunds for camp registrations after registration is completed. If a camper needs to switch sessions this is subject to availability and appropriate session for the campers age and we must know about it at least 7 days in advance. However, campers who cannot attend a booked session can have a credit toward an introductory package with our coaches - we must know 7 days ahead of time!
