Summer 2022 - Renaissance Fencing Club offers fun Summer Camps for kids ages 7 – 12, a session dedicated to younger kids (5-7 years) and a session just for teens (ages 13 - 17)!

Our introductory fencing camps teach the basics of the Olympic sport of fencing.  Fencing engages both mind and body and teaches problem solving while improving reflexes and agility.   Fencing does not require a specific body type - fencers develop different styles based on their individual size and strength. Fencing requires respect; fencers salute at the end of the match regardless of outcome, win or lose. RFC provides an open fun environment for kids to learn fencing.  Participants will learn footwork, play fencing related games, learn the basics of blade work and technique.  Every camp features a mini fencing competition on the last day – parents are welcome to attend!

Camps are half day from 9am – 12 noon for boys and girls ages 7 - 12.  We try to group fencers with others in their age group so please let us know if your camp week(s) are flexible.

We're excited to dedicated a camp for the youngest students - ages 5 to 7 from July 5 - 8th.  We are also hosting a teen summer camp from August 8 to 12 in addition to a youth camp the same week. The teen camp is for boys and girls ages 13-17. It is open to teens who have never fenced, and is also a great way for beginning teen students to refresh their fencing skills during the summer to be ready for the fall.

Fencers must wear sports clothing and sneakers.  Please no crocs, sandals or jeans – all clothing should be flexible.

Use of all needed protective equipment is included.
